April 23 – 29th is TV-Turnoff Week*

It’ time to turn off those TVs and engage your family in some “reel” fun!

According to 2006 Nielson reports, the average American watches 4 hours and 35 minutes of television EACH DAY.  So, what could you do if you reclaimed all of that time for one week?   Lund’ got some ideas to get you started:

  • Go fishing!  There’ no better way to connect with your loved ones and Mother Nature.  Every family needs an exciting fish tale, so get started by getting on the water with your Lund Boat.  Before you cast your line, check with your state’ DNR office or website for official season opener information and other important regulations.
  • Visit your local dealer!  You’ve been ogling over that boat all winter.  Here’ your chance to take a closer look, live and in person!  So rally up the family for a good ol’ fashioned joy ride to the showroom.  Start by finding the Lund dealer nearest you.
  • Un-winterize your boat.  Your boat is waiting to reunite with you.  So, make this a special time between you and your Lund.  Get your boat ready to hit the water!
  • Organize your tackle box!  Find what you need, when you need it, and spend more time fishing for fish instead of tackle!  Read all about it.
  • Re-spool your line.  If you didn’t catch this article the first time around, take a moment now to understand the importance of this small step.  Check it out.

However you choose to spend all that extra free time, we hope you have fun and make great memories with your family.  After all, that’ what life – and fishing in your Lund Boat - is all about.

*TV-Turnoff Week is a campaign promoted by the TV-Turnoff Network (formerly TV-Free America): a nonprofit organization that encourages children and adults to watch much less television in order to promote healthier lives and communities.  (See www.TVTurnoff.org for more information.)
