Wisconsin and Minnesota.
I started fishing at a very young age with my grandpa and dad. My best childhood memories are of fishing in my grandpa’s boat in northern Wisconsin and listening to all his stories. My passion for fishing and the love of the outdoors was instilled in me during this time, and shaped me into who I am today. I learned many life lessons during that time spent on the water.
I enjoy teaching others and sharing knowledge through fishing seminars. I am also passionate about education on preserving the sport and lakes for future generations.
My favorite fishing memory was walleye fishing with my wife on a northern WI lake in late August. We caught fish after fish while blaring 80s rock, belly laughing, and dancing on the boat.
Fishing has taught me that family is the most important thing in life. Creating memories and spending time with loved ones is what it is all about. It has also taught me patience, hard work, and the importance of having fun.
Make them bite! Play on the predatory instinct of fish by using reactionary presentations. Also, a slip bobber and live bait has saved the day more times than I can count.
I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors. We enjoy hunting, camping, and lake life.
I like to surround myself with people of similar views and values. Lund Boats is not only dedicated to the passion of serious anglers, but they are also devoted to the tradition of family fun on the water.
Using stereotypical “Bass” techniques such as the drop shot and ned rig have become my go to tactics for walleye fishing.
I do a lot of research before fishing at a new lake. I spend a lot of time looking at maps. I like to start by eliminating water and then focus on where I think the fish might be. I also rely on my network of friends to brainstorm ideas with and gain new knowledge. Most importantly, have fun even if the plan doesn’t work out or the fish don’t cooperate. Enjoy the adventure of trying new things and going to new places.
