Where do you spend most of your time fishing?
All over the great state of Minnesota and occasionally our border states.
What is your favorite species to fish?
Bass.
What is your favorite Lund model and why?
Although the Renegade was a fantastic starter boat to get my feet wet, the Pro-V Bass is so dynamic for both tournament and leisure fishing. I've got the space on and under the deck to be successful and my passengers can ride in comfort on the water with complete confidence.
If the bite is tough, what’s your go-to strategy to turn things around?
Keep moving spots then finesse the fish.
What's the most underrated fishing technique that more people should be using?
I think about what I really should be using more often myself and that is the crankbait. It's a flat-out fish catcher and the fish stays pinned more often than not.
What life lessons has fishing taught you that apply beyond the water?
After fishing with 100 different people in a single year, I have learned that no matter what level of experience someone has, you can learn something from everyone. So, beyond the water it's important to listen and absorb information from others.
What’s one fish you still have on your bucket list?
Peacock Bass & Gar.
Aside from fishing, how are you involved with the angling community?
I've have worked with multiple student angler teams, worked many sportsman/ice shows, charitable events & provided education through various media sources.
What is your go-to rod and reel setup?
Any TFO Resolve Bass rod is amazing and I'm a Daiwa reel fan.
What's your hidden talent?
I can make a box of Girl Scout cookies disappear in 20 mins. ;)
