Where do you spend most of your time fishing?

Ottertail County, Minnesota.

When did you first start fishing?

Growing up near my grandparent's farm on the Minnesota River in South Central Minnesota I found myself at a very young age tagging along with my great uncle to all of his fishing holes along that stretch of river. From there the passion has continued to grow for the past half century!

What is your favorite species to fish?

Walleyes.

What is your favorite Lund model and why?

I love the Pro-V GLs for their capacity to handle big water and tournament conditions without blinking an eye but still provide all the amenities for a day of bluegill fishing with my grandkids or pulling them on a tube when it gets too hot!

When you’re not fishing, what’s something you love to do?

I love to hunt whitetail deer on our Minnesota River Valley farm/hunting camp and spend time at our Ottertail County Lake cabin with my wife, kids and grandkids. And I love to talk outdoors as co-host of "Gone Outdoors" Radio.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?

I have been blessed to have a number of great mentors in my life. Some of the best advice that I've received has come from these individuals. Through words and actions some of the best advice has been to work hard, stay humble, and always look for opportunities to learn. Whether it's fishing or life, these guideposts are a great way to find success. I would add that it is important to recognize the important things in life. Family and good friends are irreplaceable.

What’s one fish you still have on your bucket list?

Lake Trout.

What is your go-to rod and reel setup?

7'3" Elliott Identity medium light spinning rod paired with a Scheels One spinning reel. I would spool it with 8 lb power pro braid and a 4' flourocarbon leader.

What's your hidden talent?

I enjoy photography. Which is a great compliment to fishing and the outdoors!

What is it about Lund, whether it’s the team, the boats, or the legacy, that keeps you comingback year after year?

The answer is ALL OF THE ABOVE. The Lund Boats legacy had me loving the red resort boats that I would fish in with my dad and grandpa as a child. It had me beyond excited when I bought my first Lund, and it has continued to today when I can't wait to get to the boat show each winter to see the new and exciting features in that year's new models.
