HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN FISHING?

I started fishing with my dad as soon as I stopped wearing diapers. Dad didn’t want to deal with that issue. I won’t stop fishin’ until I’m back in diapers… maybe.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A LUND PRO-STAFF?

I’ve been running a Pro-V for 11 years and there is no other boat I would rather fish out of. Lund and the dealerships have always taken great care of my needs.

CAN YOU TELL US THE LARGEST FISH YOU HAVE EVER CAUGHT?

Biggest fish would have been 100+ lb Sailfish off Zihuatanejo, Mexico. We actually caught 9 Sails that day. Biggest walleye I’m guessing was in the 12 lb class out of Port Clinton, OH.

WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

My family moved from Chicago to Spring Grove, Illinois when I was 3 years old, and I have lived there ever since.

WHERE DO YOU MOSTLY FISH?

My home water is The Fox Chain O’ Lakes in NE Illinois. This season you can find me fishing all of the AIM Pro Walleye series events. Locally I will fish the Charlie Chain Fishing Series and the WWA tourneys on the Fox Chain. When time allows I’ll jump to the other side and fish a Wednesday night bass tourney.

WHAT IS THE BEST FISHING TIP THAT YOU EVER RECEIVED?

For the past 15 years Gofron has drilled boat control in my head by whatever means necessary.

IN WHAT WAYS ARE YOU INVOLVED IN THE ANGLING COMMUNITY?

I founded and directed the Chain Walleye Series team tourneys from 1998 through 2000. I'm part-owner of Anglers Insight Marketing, an operations consultant and MC for the Charlie Chain Fishing Series, and I assisted in the NPAA Kids clinic at all AIM Pro Walleye Series events.

WHAT WAS THE BEST YEAR OF YOUR LIFE?

If I could go back to any age I would go back to being an 8-year-old kid. No worries other than eat, sleep and play.

WHAT IS THE MOST RIDICULOUS THING YOU’VE EVER BOUGHT?

The baseball helmet with 2 can holders and built-in straws.

WHAT’S THE BEST ADVICE YOU’VE EVER RECEIVED?

Build a house you can afford and get a fixed-rate mortgage. Thanks, dad.

Passion! You can always tell when someone is passionate about his or her work or hobbies.

WHAT’S YOUR WORST HABIT?

Selective hearing.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE MODEL OF LUND TO FISH OUT OF AND WHY?

The Pro-V! I’ve had 3 Lund 1900 Pro-V’s and currently run a 2075 Pro-V IFS with a 300 Verado. It’s hard to beat the Pro-V series in all around versatility. The Pro-V has always been a great family boat as well as a hard-core tourney boat.
