HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN FISHING?

36 years.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A LUND PRO-STAFF?

My first boat was a 16 ft Lund Trihull Fiberglass. It was the family boat that really started my obsession with fishing. While fishing as a teenager, I use to fish next to the local guides and dream to one day be like them. Later my dreams changed to fishing like Al Linder and Gary Roach. All Lund guys of course.

CAN YOU TELL US THE LARGEST FISH YOU HAVE EVER CAUGHT?

My biggest fish is a Rainy River Sturgeon. The fish measured 64 inches.

WHERE ARE YOU FROM?

Brainerd, Minnesota.

WHERE DO YOU MOSTLY FISH?

I guide all over Central MN. You can find me on Leech Lake much of the open water season. I will fish in all of the major circuits, NWT, MWC, and AIM at some point during the year.

WHAT IS THE BEST FISHING TIP THAT YOU EVER RECEIVED?

Trust your electronics. Fish fish, and not memories.

IN WHAT WAYS ARE YOU INVOLVED IN THE ANGLING COMMUNITY?

I work with kids in various fishing events throughout the year. As a teacher, we have many opportunities to work with kids and teach them fishing throughout the school year.

WHAT’S THE BEST ADVICE YOU’VE EVER RECEIVED?

Nothing replaces time on the water, when trying to become a better angler.

WHAT TRAIT DO YOU ADMIRE IN PEOPLE?

Ambition.

WHAT’S YOUR WORST HABIT?

I have an addiction to bacon cheeseburgers. It’s starting to catch up with me.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE MODEL OF LUND TO FISH OUT OF AND WHY?

I am a Glass Pro-V guy. This will be my 5th Fiberglass Lund (the first being our old family Trihull). I love the ride and fishability. I know that my clients come back year in and year out because they know that they will be safe on the water and not get wet or beat up regardless of the conditions.
